THIS IS HOW I GOT MY MIDDLE SPLITS 100% FLAT.
1. Frog pose is essential to master first. Knees at a 90 degree angle. Get your frog pose flat by practicing with blocks under one knee at a time, then both. SPEND TIME in this stretch. I’m talking 5+ minutes.
2. Straddle/Pancake is next. Although not essential for middle splits. This will increase your flexibility range to be able to “roll” into middle splits. Lead with your chest, keep a flat back. Practice with blocks once you are comfortable without them.
3. When your are close to having your middle splits flat, practice OVER-SPLITS. One block under each ankle, lift your body and hold here for 3-5 deep breaths at a time. Repeat this until your middle splits are comfortably flat.
