After finding a dead one on the road a few days earlier, I was determined to find a live Red Milk Snake in home county before leaving for my month long trip to the Galápagos. I was more than thrilled to see my day long herping expedition pay off with a gorgeous Red Milk Snake plus many more awesome herps!

In this video, I go herping at the Tennessee/Kentucky border in the hopes of finding a Pygmy Rattlesnake. There were many habitats present in the areas I was looking but rocky outcrops were not plentiful at all. I only found one rocky area in fact. Turns out, the single rock outcrop I could find ended up having tons of awesome herps hiding in the cracks so stay tuned to see what I found in them and more!

This last installment for my recent Arkansas trip is a perfect example of how herping isn't always what social media portrays it to be. My final destination for this trip was Jonesboro, Arkansas, where I planned to try for an Eastern Hognose Snake due to the apparent abundance of them I realized there were in the area after I did my research. I herped my ass off day and night for a total of 10 hours only to find the shed skin of one and a bunch of dead snakes on the road... Always work hard, but know it's not guaranteed it will always pay off or else you may find yourself extremely disappointed on a day like this one. Getting skunked, especially after busting your ass, is no fun, but it happens to the best of us...
