rat snaketv

This video is the product of 3 years worth of researching, working, and herping for one of the rarest snakes in my home county of Shelby County Tennessee. So much effort went into finding this snake. I worked long and hard collecting tin from many different places and creating a tin site in a very inaccessible area with the specific intention of finding a Corn Snake in Memphis, Tennessee. This project took months to complete and to see it actually produce what I meant for it to is the most fulfilling thing I've experienced since finding a Mud Snake. The finds from this video are split from two different days at the same spot to give the video a little more flavor so I hope you all like what I put together for you guys! Enjoy, and thanks for watching!

This last installment for my recent Arkansas trip is a perfect example of how herping isn't always what social media portrays it to be. My final destination for this trip was Jonesboro, Arkansas, where I planned to try for an Eastern Hognose Snake due to the apparent abundance of them I realized there were in the area after I did my research. I herped my ass off day and night for a total of 10 hours only to find the shed skin of one and a bunch of dead snakes on the road... Always work hard, but know it's not guaranteed it will always pay off or else you may find yourself extremely disappointed on a day like this one. Getting skunked, especially after busting your ass, is no fun, but it happens to the best of us...
