If you have been struggling to find a Mud Snake like all of us herpers do at one point, make sure you try this method and you very well may finally end up with a Mud Snake in your hands! Herping for these guys is hard and takes lots of time, effort, and patience but if you add this trick to your arsenal, I guarantee you will stand a much better chance at finding one of these awesome snakes plus Amphiumas and Sirens. About a year ago on this day, I found my very first Mud Snake after herping for one for over 3 years. I decided to return to the same spot at the same time of day to test my luck and see if I could pull it off again...

One of hopefully many herping videos from my tin site. This day was the most productive in numbers yet with 5 snakes in total 3 of which were King Snakes and 2 of which were Ringneck Snakes. Since I didn't want to include all of the 65 pieces of tin flipped, this video is condensed to only include the highlights of the day. Look forward to more tin flipping videos in the future!

The other day, I spent twelve hours herping in the summer heat from 10AM to 10PM. I challenged myself to find as many species as I possibly could in the time I was given. It was a long and hot day full of gnats, mosquitoes, and horse flies, but in the end, I am happy with what all I found. Sit back and take a look at the haul I got!

Alright, so this is the first video from my recent trip to Arkansas! My first stop was to a place very important to me that, by coincidence, also has some of the best herping I've ever experienced. This place is Kia Kima Scout Reservation. Now, a few of the finds in this video were of animals that were already found and being housed in the nature lodge so I decided to stage catching them to make the video more exciting. Nonetheless, I still ended up finding some awesome stuff during my stay so I hope you all enjoy what all I got up in front of the camera!

In this video, I go herping at the Tennessee/Kentucky border in the hopes of finding a Pygmy Rattlesnake. There were many habitats present in the areas I was looking but rocky outcrops were not plentiful at all. I only found one rocky area in fact. Turns out, the single rock outcrop I could find ended up having tons of awesome herps hiding in the cracks so stay tuned to see what I found in them and more!

This video is the product of 3 years worth of researching, working, and herping for one of the rarest snakes in my home county of Shelby County Tennessee. So much effort went into finding this snake. I worked long and hard collecting tin from many different places and creating a tin site in a very inaccessible area with the specific intention of finding a Corn Snake in Memphis, Tennessee. This project took months to complete and to see it actually produce what I meant for it to is the most fulfilling thing I've experienced since finding a Mud Snake. The finds from this video are split from two different days at the same spot to give the video a little more flavor so I hope you all like what I put together for you guys! This night, I didn't feel like busting my ass trying to find something rare. So instead, I went on a county wide expedition to find every species of Water Snake known to live in Memphis, Tennessee. I knew I was going to end up seeing a lot of snakes and a decent amount of species so I figured some of you would enjoy this as a video. Sorry if the ending is rushed. One of my biggest goals while herping in the Galápagos Islands was to find at least one species of snake. One of the species I wanted to find more than any other was a Striped Galápagos Snake. After many failed attempts and literally seeing one get away into the bushes, I finally was rewarded with the snake I had been looking for... The Striped Galápagos Snake!!!
