feline leukemia vaccine side effects [FIV - FELV Cats] SNAP Test Trial

We have had many false positives with the FIV/FELV SNAP test, so we were curious are negatives actually negative with these tests?
We are an FELV+ sanctuary. Today we tested 12 FELV+ cats (confirmed with a IFA blood test) to see if any of them would show negative with a SNAP test.

Our vet and lab tech drew the blood samples, and performed the tests. Watch the video to see what the results were. We hope you enjoy and will keep this in mind if you're relying on a SNAP test.

UPDATE: The 2 cats that tested double positive were retested with the Western Blot test and found to be FIV+ also. We always recommend this kind of testing as we have always had results accurate to 99.9%.
