This was by far one of the more memorable nights of herping I have had in a long time. I recently found out about a spot in north Mississippi that is known for having a population of a tree frog species I have wanted to find ever since I picked up my first field guide. That species is a Barking Tree Frog. Icing on the cake, the rain was hard enough to bring out what may have been hundreds of Eastern Spadefoot Toads as well as many other things. The night was filled with amphibians and a few snakes but no find made it more special than one large, colorful, and friendly frog I had the privilege of encountering... I think you all can guess which frog that just may have been...

After finding a dead one on the road a few days earlier, I was determined to find a live Red Milk Snake in home county before leaving for my month long trip to the Galápagos. I was more than thrilled to see my day long herping expedition pay off with a gorgeous Red Milk Snake plus many more awesome herps!

People like to say that they are unsafe if there are venomous snakes in the area. What many people don't realize is that they coexist with them on a daily basis without even knowing they are there. In this video, I show that even in big cities, it is not uncommon that people live right by many venomous and nonvenomous snakes without incident.

One of hopefully many herping videos from my tin site. This day was the most productive in numbers yet with 5 snakes in total 3 of which were King Snakes and 2 of which were Ringneck Snakes. Since I didn't want to include all of the 65 pieces of tin flipped, this video is condensed to only include the highlights of the day. Look forward to more tin flipping videos in the future!

The other day, I spent twelve hours herping in the summer heat from 10AM to 10PM. I challenged myself to find as many species as I possibly could in the time I was given. It was a long and hot day full of gnats, mosquitoes, and horse flies, but in the end, I am happy with what all I found. Sit back and take a look at the haul I got!

Eastern Spadefoot Toads are a very exceptional species. I found dozens upon dozens of these extremely secretive toads on this night in Memphis, Tennessee. The spring rains of early April, along with the warm temperatures, was enough to bring out a literal army of these things. What happened in this video is something I have dreamed of experiencing and will definitely never forget.

I'm working on one of my last Galápagos videos and it's taking longer than expected so to give you all something while you're waiting, here is some of the best footage of Bird-Voiced Tree Frogs I have ever gotten that I captured last night in my hometown of Memphis, Tennessee.
